I attended my brother-in-law’s wedding here at The Stones of Yarra Valley and was completely entranced with the beauty of the place upon pulling up in the car park. The wedding was held in 3 buildings at The Stones of Yarra Valley: Chapel, Stables and the Barn.
The Chapel is beautiful and a great place to hold the official ceremony of a wedding, the Barn and its open grassy area fitted nicely for the canapés and lawn games we had before the lunch reception. Finally, the Barn was the perfect space for the number of guests that attended the wedding, it was neither too cramped nor too spacious and the outer private garden area a nice place to take a stroll between courses of the menu.
The staff who were on duty for the wedding were superb, they were friendly, helpful and knew where everything and anything was. The food was delicious, and everything came out on time. No one was ever wanting for a drink, as the ladies were forever walking around and making sure everyone’s drink was topped up if they so requested.
If I was to have my wedding again, THIS would be the place I would have it. But that doesn’t mean it’s only for weddings, it is certainly a great place to hold any function: weddings, parties, anything!
Do not overlook this place, it is amazing!
